Join us in celebrating Lori’s Hands’ launch in Baltimore, MD!
On December 6th, Tiaira Harris, Lori’s Hands Baltimore’s Senior Program Manager, will walk you through preparing her personal favorite recipe of a Baltimore classic: Maryland Crab Cakes. Join us for dinner, community, and music – all from the comfort of your own home.
If you live in Baltimore, Philadelphia, or anywhere in between (including the entire state of Delaware), you can opt to have Chef Robbie’s Full Circle Food deliver to your doorstep (in a reusable Lori’s Hands cooler tote!) all of the ingredients to prepare Tiaira’s Baltimore Crab Cakes or even a fully prepared version of meal. Not up for crab? We’ve got you covered with a delicious, fully prepared vegetarian meal! We’ll also email you a zoom link, which you will use to join us the night of the event. If you order an ingredient kit or fully prepared meal, expect to find a couple of sweet surprises in your bag, too!
If you’re not local or would like to do the shopping yourself, you can opt in for just the recipe, ingredient list, and Zoom link, all of which we’ll email to you in advance.
As Tiaira prepares her crab cakes, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about her and our work in Baltimore. We’ll also hear from volunteers and clients about their involvement with Lori’s Hands and how they’ve been supporting one another during the pandemic. Once dinner is ready, we’ll enjoy live music from a Charm City musician. During the event, you’ll have a chance to mingle with other guests and Lori’s Hands volunteers to share your progress in the kitchen and to get to know one another.
