In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lori’s Hands has updated our safety protocol and expanded our service offerings to include in-person, contactless, and virtual services depending on client and student needs and capacities.
Students have safely resumed in-person visits to assist clients with instrumental activities such as laundry, meal preparation, technology use, household chores, and companionship. For clients who are more comfortable with contactless visits, students drop off groceries and prescriptions and help with outdoor projects. And, when necessary or preferred, students make phone and video calls to provide social support and assist clients with resource navigation.
